Attacking on the field and in the classroom! This week’s Leander ISD Student-Athlete of the Week Paso Banda has earned this recognition.
As a senior member of the Lion varsity soccer team, The four-year letterman has led as captain for two years. Paso ranks as the top goalscorer this season. He pushes himself in the classroom as much as he does on the soccer field. Through taking ACC dual credit classes and consistently earning all A’s, the graduating senior can’t help but strive for success.
Leander High School head boys soccer coach Russ Girard has coached Paso for six years–two years at Running Brushy Middle School and four years at Leander High School.
“Paso is a rock, one of the most reliable players I have ever coached,” Girard said. “He came in clutch in our district finale against East View scoring two goals to help the team win the District Championship! Most recently, he scored against Edison High School helping the Lions win its Area Round playoff match. There is no one more deserving of the recognition!”
Worth his weight in GOOOALS, Congratulations LISD Student-Athlete of the Week Paso Banda!
