Senior Cameron Morrison from Glenn High School is the Leander ISD Student-Athlete of the Week.
Cameron is a senior member of the Grizzly football and track and field teams. He is a two-time District and Area Champion in the shot put as well as a two-time Regional and State Qualifier. In football, Cameron is a three-time All District Offensive Lineman and Offensive Lineman of the Year. He is also a Grizz Pit Crew Officer.
Glenn High School’s Head Track Coach, Ryan Dubelbeis, said that for four years Cameron Morrison has led by example in the classroom, the football field and on the track team.
“Cameron Morrison is a great example of a Student Athlete who excels in the classroom while leading by example as an athlete as well,” Dubelbeis said.
Head Football Coach Brandon Krauskopf said that Cameron was voted one of the captains of the football team this year because of his character, work ethic and tenacity in all aspects of his life.
“Cameron is that rare combination of human being who aims to be great at everything he does and I am proud that I got to be his coach.”
