Third Grade Teacher D’Angela Fowler at North Elementary School is the Leander ISD Staff Spotlight of the Week.
One of D’Angela’s students, Christopher, didn’t get the proper reading support that he needed at his previous elementary school in first and second grade. His Kindergarten year ended with COVID-19, which contributed to the challenges of learning to read.
According to Christopher’s mother, Melissa Reese, her son has thrived in D’Angela’s class this school year. D’Angela has consistently communicated with Christopher’s parents about the reading support that he is receiving, as well as his progress.
“Mrs. Fowler has shown us how we can all work together to help in Christopher’s progress in his reading skills. He has progressed consistently throughout the school year with the help of Mrs Fowler’s one-on-one support and dedication in ensuring that Christopher has the tools to succeed,” Reese said. “Mrs. Fowler’s compassion, understanding and dedication to her teaching has had a profound impact on my son’s education and I’m eternally grateful.”
