We extend our many thanks and appreciation for our grounds and maintenance crews. The ice storm took out dozens of trees across all the district, leaving some exterior areas unsafe, with hanging limbs or broken branches. Working on a skeleton crew over four days, ten grounds technicians consistently showed up to prepare our schools for students.
During the storm, Maintenance had 12 general maintenance and HV/AC techs inspect every campus an additional buildings for water and freeze damage. When the work shifted to cleanup and debris clearing, 16 maintenance techs split into three teams, assisting in pulling down limbs and clearing sidewalks and campuses.
Each of these employees exuded pride in the work with the goal of ensuring spaces for our students and staff. We are humbled by their dedication! Thank you!
