In order to make it easier for the public to make donations towards negative meal balances, LISD is now accepting donations online. Previously, the district only accepted donations in person at the Child Nutrition Services office in Cedar Park.
The online service will provide the donor with a Contribution Acknowledgement Form at the end of each transaction. A link is available on the Child Nutrition Services webpage.
During the 2017–18 school year, LISD accepted just over $9,300.00 in donations to cover negative meal balances. Even with those donations, there was still over $18,000 remaining in negative meal charges at the end of the 2017–18 school year.
