March 3-7, 2025 is Educational Diagnostician Appreciation Week. Leander ISD is proud to recognize our excellent educational diagnosticians who go above and beyond for our students every day.
Educational diagnosticians are highly trained educators who specialize in assessments and collaborate with teachers and parents to create Individual Education Plans (IEPs). In Leander ISD, our educational diagnosticians implement best practices and rely on their training in identifying disabilities and suggesting effective teaching strategies and recommendations that play a critical role in our students’ success. Their insights are essential in guiding team efforts to support all students effectively.
Currently, the district’s evaluation team consists of 28 educational diagnosticians. The total number of students receiving special education services in Leander ISD is more than 7,000. An evaluation team member was involved with the initiation of services as well as the continuation of services for these identified students.
A special message from LISD Assistant Superintendent of Special Programs and Services, State & Federal Programs Paige Collier
