In response to the devastating flooding across Central Texas, the Leander Educational Excellence Foundation (LEEF), in partnership with Leander Independent School District (LISD), has launched the Leander ISD Flood Relief Fund to provide direct financial support to LISD families and staff members impacted by the storms.
LEEF Board Member and Fruition Developments Founder Mohan Marchetty kickstarted the fund with a generous $5,000 donation, which was matched by Mode Design Company, doubling the initial impact.
The severe weather has left many in the Leander ISD community facing sudden and overwhelming hardships—including displacement from their homes, property damage, disrupted routines, and in some tragic cases, the loss of loved ones.
“At LEEF, we believe a strong community shows up in moments like these,” said Coleen Brighton, Executive Director of LEEF. “We are committed to rallying support for our Leander ISD families and staff who are hurting right now. Every dollar raised through this fund will go directly toward immediate relief efforts.”
In partnership with Hill Country Community Ministries (HCCM), funds will be distributed to help Leander ISD families facing basic needs such as food insecurity, clothing, utilities, and transportation. Additional support will help cover urgent expenses like temporary housing, utilities, and clothes.
LEEF is working with Leander ISD to identify and prioritize those most affected. For impacted families and staff, you can reach out through Let’s Talk or call 512-570-0033.
Community members, local businesses, and supporters are encouraged to donate online through the dedicated Leander ISD Flood Relief Fund.
