Henry Middle School assistant principal Jaime Bell Garrison has been selected to represent the Texas Association of Secondary School Principals (TASSP) as the Region 13 Outstanding Assistant Principal of the Year. TASSP recognizes outstanding principals and assistant principals from the twenty region Education Service Centers in the state.  School administrators are nominated and chosen by their peers within their regions.

“Ms. Bell Garrison is one of those rare individuals who combines the ‘head’ and the ‘heart’ of leadership in equal measure,” said HMS Principal David Ellis. “Not only does she possess the strategic vision, instructional prowess, and inspirational skills to successfully lead a school, but she also does so in a manner that makes genuine connections and builds strong relationships with her students, parents, and the school staff. Jaime brings joy, passion, and a sense of sparkle to our campus that would not be present without her at our school.”

Nominations are based upon exemplary performance and outstanding leadership.  As a Region 13 winner, she is eligible to compete for the state title of Texas Assistant Principal of the Year. Each of the region winners will be recognized during the Josten’s Night of the Stars Awards Dinner held in conjunction with the TASSP Summer Conference each June in Austin.
