Happy Arbor Day!

Apr 26, 2024 | HMS

Arbor Day, celebrated globally, emphasizes tree planting for environmental preservation. Annually, millions of trees are planted, mitigating carbon emissions, fostering biodiversity, and sustaining ecosystems for a healthier planet.
🌳🌲🌴🌱

Arbor Day is observed in over 30 countries and prompts the planting of millions of trees each year. For instance, in the United States alone, over 10 million trees are planted annually during Arbor Day celebrations. This concerted effort aids in mitigating carbon emissions, as a single mature tree can absorb about 48 pounds of CO2 per year, reducing the impact of climate change. Moreover, the benefits extend beyond carbon sequestration, providing habitat for wildlife, improving air quality, and enhancing the overall health and well-being of communities worldwide. 🌳🌲🌴🌱
