The Glenn Indoor Drumline participated in their first competition season this year, remaining undefeated throughout the 2023 winter season and winning the Texas Color Guard Circuit Scholastic Marching Championship with their production entitled “Captive”.
Director of Percussion Jacob Gall said that the Glenn Indoor Percussion students have led a tremendous culture of excellence through their commitment to the band program.
“These students understand the importance of program-wide cultural growth, and they continue to inspire me, their staff, and each other daily. I am very proud of their mindset, growth, maturity, and accomplishments during the 2023 winter season,” Gall said. “It is a tremendous honor to be recognized as state champions in our inaugural year of competition. To our students, staff, volunteers, administrators, and families, thank you for your support and encouragement along the way. Here’s to a bright future with Glenn Indoor Percussion!”
The Glenn Indoor Drumline is led by Gall, as well as staff members Seth Lampert, Sammi Rogers, Derek Vo and Luke Gall.
There are two upcoming opportunities to experience the drumline’s 2023 production: during the Glenn percussion concert on Saturday, May 6, at 6:30 p.m., and during Evening with the Arts on Thursday, May 20, at 7 p.m.
