Sporting a wealth of instructional and administrative leadership experience, Grandview Hills Elementary assistant principal Kristin Britt will lead the campus as its next principal. The Leander ISD Board of Trustees approved the selection at Thursday night’s meeting.
“I am excited to announce Kristin Britt as the new principal for Grandview Hills Elementary,” Superintendent Bruce Gearing, Ed.D., said. “Kristin has been with LISD since 2015 serving as a teacher and most recently as the assistant principal at Grandview Hills Elementary. She is a dynamic leader who brings a vast amount of experience in best instructional practices and supporting achievement for all students. Her passion for learning, thorough knowledge of the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme, and instructional leadership will serve the Grandview Hills community well.”
Britt has served the GVH community as assistant principal since 2018. Prior to that, she taught fourth-grade math and science at Camacho Elementary School for three years. Britt began her educational career as a third-grade teacher in Hawaii. After six years in the classroom, she served as a program coordinator/instructional coach, leading a service-learning partnership with the University of Hawaii at West Oahu.
“It is a privilege to continue to serve the students, staff, and community in my new role as the principal of Grandview Hills Elementary School,” Britt said. “I am honored to have the opportunity to lead our International Baccalaureate campus with such a rich tradition of developing global thinkers, compassionate leaders, and problem solvers. Along with our dedicated, passionate, and talented teachers, staff, and community, I will work hard to continue the legacy of academic excellence, empowerment, and joy that is Grandview Hills Elementary School.”
Britt earned both her bachelor’s degree in general science and her master’s degree in elementary education from Fairleigh Dickinson University.

Con un importante bagaje instruccional y experiencia de liderazgo administrativo, la subdirectora de la Escuela Primaria Grandview Hills, Kristin Britt liderará la escuela como su próxima directora. La Junta Directiva de Leander ISD aprobó la selección en la reunión del jueves en la noche.
“Me complace anunciar a Kristin Britt como la nueva directora de la Escuela Primaria Grandview Hills”, dijo el Superintendente, Bruce Gearing, Ed.D., “Kristin ha estado con LISD desde 2015 sirviendo a los estudiantes como maestra y más recientemente como subdirectora en la escuela primaria Grandview Hills. Ella es una líder dinámica que trae una vasta experiencia en las mejores prácticas de instrucción y de apoyo al desempeño de todos los estudiantes. Su pasión por el aprendizaje a través del conocimiento del Programa Diploma de Bachillerato Internacional (International Baccalaureate -IB) y como líder instruccional, será de contribución muy valiosa para la comunidad de Grandview Hills”.
Britt ha servido a la comunidad de GVH como subdirectora desde 2018. Anterior a esta posición, ella fue maestra de cuarto grado de matemáticas y ciencias en la Escuela Primaria Camacho por tres años. Britt comenzó su carrera como maestra de tercer grado en Hawaii. Luego de seis años de dictar clases, ella se unió a un programa de coordinadora de instrucción, liderando una asociación de servicio-aprendizaje en la Universidad de Hawaii en West Oahu.

Kristin Britt obtuvo su diploma de pregrado en Ciencias Generales y su maestría en Educación Básica Primaria de la Universidad Fairleigh Dickinson.
