Filling her path with sunshine, this week’s Leander ISD Fine Arts Student of the Week Isla Powell is making her pursuits come alive!
The Cedar Park Middle School eighth-grader heads the Crimson Cadets performance team as captain. Also heavily involved in theatre, Isla participates in CPMS stage productions. She makes good grades and represents as a well-rounded member of the community. Earlier this year, Isla received recognition from her teammates as “Best All-Around 7th-grader”.
Speaking to her character, Cedar Park Dance Director Kayln Vaughn says Isla exemplifies dependability and a hard work ethic.
“Her teammates can count on every single day,” Vaughn said. “She leads with compassion and kindness. She ensures everyone is included and spreads positivity wherever she goes.
“I nominated Isla because I want to recognize her steadfast leadership for our team and inspiration for her peers.”
