The reviews are in! Leander ISD Fine Arts Student of the Week Matthew Taylor has reached critical acclaim!
The Vandegrift High School senior started his theatre career in Leander ISD in sixth grade. Through the years, he has not only grown into an excellent actor, but also as a leader within the theatre department. He currently serves as Drama Club/Thespian Honor Society president. By giving 100%, Matthew puts in the hard work needed to deliver stellar performances. His fantastic attitude contributes to his success on stage as well as excelling in his academic classes.
“Matthew is the type of student a teacher wants in class,” Vandegrift HS Theatre Director Celeste Schneider said. “You can see his dedication to the craft of theatre through his kind heart and hard work.
“Personally, I have enjoyed watching him grow in his acting and leadership skills over the past six years. I was fortunate enough to teach him at Four Point Middle School and Vandegrift HS. I’m excited to see all he does to make a positive impact in this world.”
