Junior Harrison Whitfield from Cedar Park High School is the Leander ISD Fine Arts Student of the Week.
Harrison is a musician in the Timberwolf Band, where he serves as a High Brass Drill Instructor. Associate Band Director Kendall Santos said that he is a model student in every sense of the phrase.
“Harrison has such a passion for music, paired with the kindest heart. Harrison has been a leader, both musically and socially, since his freshman year, and has had a large, positive influence over not only the trumpet section, but the program as a whole,” Santos said. “He is mature beyond his years and is such a bright light to those around him!”
When Harrison isn’t spending time in the band hall, he can be found participating in the Young Men’s Service League as Head of Philanthropy.
