Leander ISD would like to congratulate Rouse High School Theatre standout Sam Ingram for being named the LISD Fine Arts Student of the Week. Sam, a senior, has proudly served as Treasurer of Rouse’s Thespian Troupe for the past two years. He is also a member of the Rouse Improv Team, a student director for Rouse Theatre introductory acting classes, and a Guard for the Rouse Royals Dance Team.

He recently led Rouse Theatre’s group musical contest piece to a national qualification at the Texas Thespian State Conference. For the first time in Rouse history, the group musical also received perfect scores from a panel of judges, qualifying them to make Texas Thespian closing ceremony finals among over 8,000 students from across the state.

Sam is currently portraying the role of Marius in Rouse’s upcoming production of Les Misérables. After high school, Sam plans to pursue his love of performance with a major in Theatre, and focus in Drama Therapy.

“Sam is a lifeblood to our department and an integral part of our program,” RHS Theatre Director Chrissy Flanigan said. “He is thoughtful, humorous and one of a kind. Working with him is an absolute joy and something I look forward to every day.”

Congratulations to Rouse High School’s Sam Ingram, the LISD Fine Arts Student of the Week!
