A unique group of young ladies has choreographed the perfect steps to handling a tough situation. By leaps and bounds, Leander ISD Fine Arts Students of the Week the Henry Middle School Black Diamonds Officer Line have shown they have the strength to carry on!
These eighth-grade students serve as the Black Diamonds Dance Team officers: Captain Bella Seitz, First Lieutenant Sofia Velasquez, First Lieutenant Avery Reich, Lieutenant Ryleigh Aaron, Lieutenant McKenna Carrillo, Lieutenant Astoria Ernst, and Lieutenant Rylee Johnson. For a year that’s different for all of us, these young ladies have found ways to lead their team. At the same time, they’ve maintained positive attitudes every step of the way.
“This school year looks very different for all of us, especially for our extracurricular activities,” Black Diamonds director Jaime Herrera said. “These young women have gone above and beyond! They’ve helped their directors motivate and unite their team, despite all the setbacks and challenges they have faced thus far.”
“We could not be prouder of these young ladies! They’ve stepped up in these times of adversity, and truly lead by example. Thank you for all your hard work and dedication to your teammates, and to your directors. Way to shine, ladies!”
Congratulations to Bella, Sofia, Avery, Ryleigh, McKenna, Astoria, and Rylee, Leander ISD’s Fine Arts Students of the Week!
