Eighth grader Amanda Sanchez Aranaga from Running Brushy Middle School is the Leander ISD Fine Arts Student of the Week.

Amanda is in the High School Credit Art I class and is also a member of the Cougar Cheerleading Team.

“Amanda is such a creative learner who isn’t afraid to dream big and pursue big things. She is currently sculpting a clay house in her High School Credit Art class at Running Brushy MS,” Visual Arts Teacher Alyson Rhodes said. “She’s always considerate of others, resourceful with her resources, and respectful of her teachers and fellow classmates.”

When Amanda isn’t enjoying fine arts, she can be seen in all advanced classes, where she excels academically.
