Each day, more than 11,000 students get to and from school courtesy of Leander ISD’s Transportation Services Department. This group of dedicated employees includes bus drivers, crossing guards, dispatchers, mechanics and administrative support professionals.
To meet the needs of the district, more than 170 bright yellow buses travel almost 14,500 miles each day, covering the LISD’s 200 square miles.
Our Transportation Services Department employees care about our students. The district considers our buses to be a student’s first classroom and our drivers to be a child’s first teacher of the day.
