Ronny Williams at Leander High School is the Leander ISD Career and Technical Education Teacher Spotlight of the Month.

As part of the Architecture & Construction cluster, Williams teaches all of the electrical technology classes at LHS. He’s been at the campus since 2006 and prior to teaching he spent nearly two decades working as an electrician himself.

During his time at LHS, Williams has made a significant influence on the lives of his students by giving them a place to grow and learn with hands-on projects, preparing them to find a career in the Electrical Trades. Many of his students earn internships and apprenticeships in the electrical industry.

“Ronny’s dedication to supporting students and connecting them with career opportunities and pathways inspires students to explore their passion within their career fields,” LHS CTE Department Head Emily Veraa said.

Williams consistently has students who go on to become district officers, excelling in SkillsUSA contests, as well as having students complete internships and trainings to prepare them for a future in the electrical trades field.
