Leander ISD is celebrating a bright mind who’s exploring the wide, wide world of family consumer sciences. Congratulations to our Career & Technical Education (CTE) Student of the Week Paige Skipper!

In January, Paige along with another partner competed in a Family, Career and Community Leader of America (FCCLA) event, β€œFocus on Children,” in Corpus Christi. Teams prepared a display and oral presentation on developing and implementing a program that positively impacts children.

“Paige has been an asset to the Cedar Park FCS Program,” Cedar Park High School family consumer sciences teacher Melissa Hemby said. β€œWe are grateful for her leadership and commitment.”

As a junior at Cedar Park High School, Paige is studying a person’s lifetime from birth to death in Human Growth & Development. Her curiosity has shaped where she’s been and where she’s headed, having taken an introductory course in culinary arts to delving into the realm of fashion and interior design as a senior. With her plans for her final year starting to take shape, she aspires to run for a higher office than she currently holds in Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA).

For her devotion to building strong, healthy families, a huge shout-out to LISD’s CTE Student of the Week Paige Skipper!
