Abby Christiansen from Leander High School is the Career and Technical Education (CTE) Student of the Week.
Abby is a part of LHS’s Future Health Professionals (HOSA) organization, and was elected by her peers to be the LHS HOSA public relations officer for the 2022-23 school year.
According to her teacher, Health Science Instructor Amber Hall, Abby has made a tremendous impact on the LHS HOSA social media presence, specifically on the group’s Instagram page. Abby decided to “theme” each day of the week, including “Medical Monday” and “Therapy Thursday,” highlighting stories or medical news within those themes. Abby is also in charge of the HOSA newsletter.
“Abby has done a phenomenal job of engaging our HOSA students and the Leander community via social media as our Public Relations Officer,” Hall said. “She takes the time and puts extra effort into making our HOSA social media a place to learn about medicine.”
In addition to her participation in HOSA, Abby is a member of the LHS marching band.
