Leander ISD is proud to announce Glenn High School culinary student Summer Pate as the LISD Career and Technical Education (CTE) Student of the Week. Summer, a senior in Advanced Culinary Arts – ProStart, serves as the program’s vice president, spearheads the development of menu selection and supports practices for competition. She also gives of her personal time to support the program via open houses and community service.
“Summer is a true example of hard work and dedication,” program coordinator Olivia Rodriguez said. “Summer received one of the Austin Steam Train Association scholarships this year and she deserves it. She will continue her education in culinary arts after graduation and is a true example of finding your passion and following it through our CTE programs. I am so proud of her and excited to see her continued success.”
