Leander ISD is proud to announce Cedar Park High School’s Elena Veninicasa as the Leander ISD Student-Athlete of the Week. Elena, a junior, is a standout member of the CPHS cheerleading and track & field teams.
Not only is Elena the parliamentarian for the National English Honor Society and an officer for the Spanish Honor Society, she is also a member of the National Honor Society, Science Honor Society and HOSA. She has won back-to-back 5A D1 State Championships with the cheer squad, runs the 4×100 relay and 4×200 relay, and participates in the long jump and triple jump events. Elena is obviously an outstanding student and talented athlete!
“Elena not only stands out academically and athletically, but she is a true leader within a program full of elite athletes” CPHS Head Cheer Coach Nadira King said. “She constantly impresses me with her ability to lead her teammates with great passion and respect. She is an amazing role model for the younger girls in the program.”
