By design, Leander ISD Career & Technical Education (CTE) Student of the Week Camden Michalek is building on his desire to learn!
Camden attended The Cooper Union and took a course that taught skills in different design software programs like Rhino and Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign. The Cedar Park High School eleventh-grader heard from guest speakers and critics from other universities. Among them Yale, Cornell, and Rhode Island School of Design. Through this experience, Camden learned how to conceptualize architecture in innovative and unique ways. Additionally, he began to visualize and analyze architecture in a more critical way.
The learning didn’t stop there. Camden furthered his studies with Rhode Island School of Design. The course helped open his mind to come up with innovative architectural designs while learning drafting skills.
Furthermore, Camden exemplifies leadership as president of the CPHS FCCLA chapter. In that role, he has a vision for the chapter that involves several acts of community service.
“Camden has proved himself as a future positive contributor to the Interior Design/Architectural Industry,” Cedar Park HS Family & Consumer Sciences Teacher Katie Travis said. “He is continually seeking knowledge, passionate about sharing that knowledge with his peers and with me. What a talented young man! I can’t wait to see the mark he makes.”
The gold standard, Congratulations to Camden Michalek–#1LISD CTE Student of the Week!
