Junior Avery Nelson at Cedar Park High School is the Leander ISD Career and Technical Education Student of the Week.
Avery currently competes on the Floriculture Career Development Event team at Cedar Park High School. She placed first with each of her fresh arrangements at the Greater Leander FFA Project Show and earned the title of Floral Reserve Grand Champion. As a Floral 1 student, Avery will receive her Texas State Florist’s Association Knowledge Based Industry Certification.
“Avery is an incredible student to have in our Cedar Park High School Floral Department,” Floral Teacher Mackenzie Morton said. “She is eager to learn and gain experiences within the Floral Industry!”
