March 2–6 marks Educational Diagnostician Appreciation Week, and Leander ISD is honored to celebrate the outstanding work of our educational diagnosticians who make a meaningful difference for students each and every day.

Educational diagnosticians are skilled professionals with specialized training in assessment and evaluation. They partner closely with teachers, families, and campus teams to develop Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) that reflect each student’s unique strengths and needs. Through their expertise in identifying disabilities and recommending effective instructional strategies, educational diagnosticians provide critical guidance that helps teams make informed decisions and better support student success.

Leander ISD is fortunate to have a dedicated evaluation team of 32 educational diagnosticians serving more than 7,200 students receiving special education services. Members of this team play an essential role in both initiating and continuing services for students across the district. Their work is foundational to ensuring students receive appropriate and timely support.

“We are deeply thankful for the commitment, knowledge and care that our educational diagnosticians bring to their work,” said Paige Collier, assistant superintendent of special programs. “Thank you for the impact you make every day. Your work truly matters, and we appreciate you!”
