🏆 There’s been a wide array of excellence on display all across #1LISD recently — from the accomplishments of our high school bands at the UIL State Marching Band Championships to LEEF’s annual State of the District event to learning in action at Tarvin Elementary School.

We’re less than two weeks from the start of the 2024–25 school year, so that calls for a special Back-to-School issue of The Compass newsletter to kick things off! This issue is packed with important information about the coming school year. We cannot wait to welcome families back into our doors on Aug. 14! 

Summer has arrived! ☀️ Although school is out, there are still things happening around #1LISD, including summer meals, athletic and academic summer camps, and other summer learning opportunities. This final issue of the 2023–24 Compass contains summer information as well as recent student accomplishments.

It’s the final countdown! As we get ready to send off the Class of 2024, we’re reflecting on all of this year’s highlights and preparing for an incredible 2024–25 school year. Our students win competitions, travel to tournaments, make academic breakthroughs and reach new heights every school year – but can you believe that all of #1LISD got to share in the once-in-a-lifetime educational, scientific and historic event that was the 2024 total solar eclipse?
