In a joint partnership, Leander ISD and Texas Childrensโ€™ Pediatrics will host a Back-to-School Vaccine Drive from 9 a.m. โ€“ 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 31, at Texas Childrenโ€™s North Austin location.

No appointment is necessary, and patients will be vaccinated on a first come-first served basis. To help speed up the process, we do ask that you sign-up and complete the necessary forms ahead of time. 

  • Parents/guardians should be prepared to present their insurance cards and photo ID.
  • Please bring your child’s current vaccine record.
    • If unavailable, presenting the email from your campus nurse detailing the required vaccine will suffice.
    • Not sure which vaccine your child is missing please reach out to your campus nurse
      • Returning LISD students
        • Parent/guardian can request a copy of your students vaccine record by emailing [email protected]

After the visit, insurance will be billed. The Texas Vaccines for Children (TVFC) program will also be available for those who qualify. 

Immunization requirements for the 2024โ€“25 school year are available on the district siteโ€™s Immunizations page.

Remember: In Texas, a student must show acceptable documentation of the state-required vaccinations โ€“ or exemption waiver โ€“ before entering, attending, or transferring to a childcare facility or public or private elementary or secondary school. School nurses are back in clinics to answer questions.
