The Leander ISD Board of Trustees approved the hiring of Marianne Norman as the new principal of Reagan Elementary School at the Thursday, Oct. 3, Board meeting.
“We are pleased to welcome Marianne Norman as the new principal of Reagan Elementary School,” said Leander ISD Superintendent Bruce Gearing, Ed.D. “Marianne is a strong instructional leader who believes that each and every student deserves an opportunity to learn and grow in a supportive learning environment. She is dedicated to creating systems that ensure growth for every student. Marianne is a caring and compassionate leader who will partner with teachers, parents, and community members to maintain the strong culture of excellence at Reagan Elementary.”
Norman comes to Reagan Elementary from Canyon Ridge Middle School, where she served as an assistant principal. Prior to that, Norman was an assistant principal at Parkside Elementary from 2017–2019. She began her career in education in 2009 as a teacher at Parkside.
“It is such an honor to be joining the Reagan community,” Norman said. “I could not be more excited to be part of a campus with a collaborative culture and focus on student growth. Partnering with students, staff and parents to build upon the success of Reagan is an amazing opportunity, and I could not be more excited!”
Norman earned a bachelor’s degree in elementary education at Washington State University and a master’s degree in educational leadership from Texas State University.
