Instead of our normal year, when schools celebrate our Board for Texas School Board Appreciation Month, our Trustees adopted individual schools for a year-long reverse appreciation. But our #1LISD can still recognize these volunteer, elected leaders for their service!

In the middle of her first term on the Leander ISD school board, Trustee Gloria Gonzales-Dholakia, Ph.D., hired a superintendent, opened two schools, and supported schools during a global health crisis.

Board Vice President Gloria, Place 2, manages multiple roles like a boss. A professor, non-profit leader, volunteer, and mom to three sons, the school year’s go-go-go pace fits right into Gloria’s lifestyle. She champions innovation and STEM (science-technology-engineering-mathematics), combing her doctorate degree in instructional technology and her life volunteering in robotics.

As we continue our celebration of Texas School Board Appreciation Month, please join us in thanking Board Vice President Gloria Gonzales-Dholakia, Ph.D. for supporting our #1LISD.
