In an effort to gather feedback from staff, Superintendent Bruce Gearing, Ed.D., will host a series of listening sessions. These opportunities will take place through virtual Google Meet meetings for teachers and campus staff, as well as non-instructional employees.
As you may have seen in recent Board meetings, LISD is facing a multi-million-dollar budget gap for the 2026-27 school year. In these sessions, Gearing will provide an update on already-announced decisions and share the current state of play in the budget development process and long-range plan work.
Change brings questions and uncertainty. In reflecting on the implementation of new legislation, how changes made last school year and what you’re hoping for in the months ahead, we want to hear from you. Please join one of these virtual sessions:
- Tuesday, Oct. 21 at 3:15 p.m.
- Tuesday, Oct. 21 at 4:30 p.m.
- Tuesday, Oct. 21 at 6 p.m.
- Wednesday, Oct. 22 at 8 a.m.
