YMCA is offering assistance for families who need after school care on all new district early release days. The organization has extended its services to cover any gaps in child care.
Parents/guardians can choose to register for all early release days or individual days. Child care starts directly after elementary schools dismiss from 12:55–6:30 p.m.
Students already enrolled in the YMCA program do not need to register. A family’s current enrollment will include the additional early release days.
Leander ISD announced the addition of early release days at the latest October school board meeting. Teachers will have extra time for planning and collaboration for in-person and virtual learning experiences.
