The City of Leander will repair a water main near S. West St. and Municipal Dr. this afternoon (Feb. 9) at 4 p.m. This will require closing the intersection at S. West St. and W. South St. down to S. West and Municipal Dr. at 3:30 p.m. This will impact:
- Camacho Elementary School – will not be able to go north on S. West at Municipal
- Leander Middle School – will not be able to go north on S. West at Municipal
- LISD Administration,
- LEO Center,
- Parents as Teachers, and
- Portables across from LEO
Traffic flow after 3:30 p.m. is shown below on the map in green. For people parked in the dark blue area, if you are returning or leaving after 3:30 p.m., you will need to use the following detour. Red indicates city barriers closing the road.
Repairs are expected to be completed tonight and we do not anticipate disruptions to campuses for the school day on Thursday. However, water service WILL be disrupted today after 4 p.m. to:
- Leander Middle School
- New Hope High School
- LISD Technology Building
- LEO Center
- Parents as Teachers, and
- Portables across from LEO
