Caio Carvalho and Srihan Thummala are the Leander ISD Super Kids of the Week!

Both Caio and Srihan are second grade students at Plain Elementary, where they are in the English as a Second Language (ESL) program.

ESL Teachers Debbie Krawl and Jennifer Wilson shared that when the students started practicing for TELPAS assessments, they discovered the Chromebooks in the cart were unplugged and not charged. Caio and Srihan offered to check the cart at the end of each day and make sure all the computers were plugged in and charging.

“Caio and Srihan are promise-keepers, because they’ve done this every day since,” Krawl and Wilson said. “It is a wonderful start to the day to open the Chrome cart and see all the computers plugged in and charged. We know our students will be able to do what they need to do on a Chromebook, thanks to Caio and Srihan!”

Caio loves to play soccer with his brothers and football in school. He also loves Legos, puzzles, tennis, board games and card games – Monopoly Deal is his favorite. He is fluent in both Portuguese and English. He likes to read comic books like Dog Man, Diary of a Wimpy Kid and The Last Kids on Earth.

Srihan likes to play with Legos and puzzles and also loves to do math. He also enjoys bike riding and nature walks and enjoys exploring new places. He is always curious to learn new things and loves to make new friends.
