Fifth Grader Hyland McCormick at River Place Elementary School is the Leander ISD Super Kid of the Week!
According to his teacher, Lauren McDowell, Hyland’s compassion and empathy toward his peers is evident. Any time a student is feeling down or visibly upset, Hyland always searches for a way to make them feel comforted.
“Hyland’s compassion and empathy towards his peers and teachers is exemplary,” McDowell said. “Hyland cares so much about the people around him and looks for ways to cheer them up when they’re feeling down or get hurt.”
Hyland loves puzzles, legos, being silly, swimming, playing soccer and hanging out with his friends.
