Fourth Grader Diya Suraj at Larkspur Elementary School is the Leander ISD Super Kid of the Week!
According to her teacher, Erin Gillis, Diya goes out of her way to help others in need, and she does so without expecting any praise or reward. She simply does it because she has a kind heart. She is trustworthy and always gives her best effort in all activities. When she is presented with a challenge, she uses her problem-solving skills to work through it.
“Diya is a student you can count on to do the right thing,” Gillis said. “She goes out of her way to show respect to others and be a leader in our school!”
Diya enjoys piano, art, computer science, math and swimming.
