Seventh grader Andy Salazar from Leander Middle School is the Leander ISD Student-Athlete of the Week.
Andy is a member of the Tiger football and basketball teams. He plans to run track and play soccer this spring.
“Andy is a great leader and teammate on the field and in the classroom,” LMS Boys Athletic Coordinator Greg Steger said. “He is always up for the task, no questions asked. He does a great job of including everyone around him and making everyone better.”
Andy is a leader in the Partners Physical Education class and enjoys working with the ICAP students. He is also in the LMS choir and is enrolled in the Gateway class.
