Leander ISD is proud to announce Bryce Flynn, from Vista Ridge High School, as the Leander ISD Student-Athlete of the Week.
Bryce is a junior member of the Vista Ridge Swimming & Diving Team. This past weekend at the District 11-6A Swimming & Diving Championships, Bryce placed first in both the 200 and 500 freestyle events, qualifying him for regionals. In addition, as a member of the 200 medley and 400 free relays Bryce, along with his teammates, also qualified for regionals.
In the classroom, Bryce is ranked 7th in his junior class and is enrolled in all advanced placement classes. Additionally, he is an active member of DECA, National Honor Society, and Latin Club.
“When I think of what a student-athlete should be, Bryce Flynn is the first person who comes to mind,” Head Swimming & Diving Coach Caitlyn Goodfellow said. “Every day he comes to practice ready to work hard and improve. He is a key asset to the success of our team and I am proud to be his coach.”
