Leander ISD is proud to announce Wiley Middle School’s Crystal Jones as the Student-Athlete of the Week.
Crystal is a seventh-grade girls basketball player for the Wiley Lady Coyotes, and also participates in RADD, Rising Against Destructive Decisions. RADD is an organization which empowers young people to successfully make positive decisions that advance their health and safety.
Crystal is described as a team leader, someone who works very hard academically, and gives 100 percent each day.
“Crystal comes in every day anxious to learn and consistently steps up as a leader of the basketball team,” coach Christina Wayson said. “She has worked tirelessly to make sure that she performs well athletically as well as academically”.
