Eighth grader Braxton Hernandez of Running Brushy Middle School is the Leander ISD Student-Athlete of the Week.
Braxton is a member of the Cougar football and basketball teams and also plans on participating in track and field in the spring.
“Braxton is a hard working young man, fierce competitor and a very talented athlete,” Running Brushy Boys Athletics Coordinator Ryan West said. “His willingness to lead and work hard makes our team better.”
In addition to his athletic accomplishments, Braxton is also a member of the National Junior Honor Society and is on the A/B Honor Roll.
