Junior Aaron Gordon at Vandegrift High School is the Leander ISD Student-Athlete of the Week.
Aaron is a member of the Viper swim team. At the Regional Championship this year he won two gold medals and was part of the two relays that won gold medals. At the UIL State Swim Competition this past weekend, he received the silver medal in the 100-Yard Backstroke and also established a new school record.
“Aaron is not only an outstanding student-athlete, but is an amazing human being that takes the word ‘caring’ to another whole level,” Head Swim Coach Felix Gonzalezmatos said. “Aaron is that teammate that every athlete would love to have. Keep up the good work Aaron!”
Aaron is not only a great athlete, but also excels academically.
