Gavin Horton from Cedar Park High School is the Leander ISD Student-Athlete of the Week.
Gavin is a junior member of the Timberwolf football and track teams. Gavin is also a member of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes and a football battalion leader.
CPHS Athletic Coordinator Michael Quintero said that Gavin is an all-around athlete.
“Gavin’s drive to be the best he can possibly be is what makes him so special to the people he comes in contact with,” Quintero said. “He is always looking to help and do what he can to make the team better.”
CPHS Head Boys Track Coach Brent Brittain said that Gavin is a great teammate that is always thinking of others first.
“Gavin’s work ethic motivates those around him and makes his teammates better,” Brittain said. “It is a pleasure to coach Gavin.”
