Fourth Grade Teacher DeAnn Nelson at Mason Elementary School is the Leander ISD Staff Spotlight of the Week.
Mason parent Cara Owen said that three of her kids have had Nelson as a teacher, and she has had the opportunity to see how amazing she is in the classroom.
According to Owen, Nelson makes learning fun. She loves her students, and they all know it and thrive under her guidance.
“I substituted in Miss Nelson’s class this week and I was just amazed to see during this ‘publishing party’ how well she has taught writing techniques – you could identify them in varying levels in every students work,” Owen said. “And the fact that she had them complimenting each other while identifying those same techniques – it was incredible and also heartwarming to see them thinking and supporting each other.”
