As we begin the school year, we want to ensure your child has access to the support and services provided by our school counselors. Due to recent legislative changes, specifically Senate Bill 12, school districts are now required to obtain parent/guardian consent before providing classroom guidance lessons and well-being questionnaires.

Please take a moment to review and submit your consent preferences—either opting in or out—so we can best support your student’s well-being and academic success.

School Counseling Services

These services may include (but not limited to):

  • Guidance Lessons: Classroom presentations led by the school counselor to support academic, career, and social-emotional development.
  • Well-Being Questionnaire: A brief screening tool administered by the counseling team and/or teachers to help identify students who may need additional social-emotional support.
  • Second Step Curriculum (Only applicable to elementary school students): Social-emotional lessons delivered by your child’s classroom teacher and/or counselor.

These selections will remain valid for the 2025-26 school year unless revoked.
