Rouse High School Senior Colton Rube got an early graduation present from Honda Leander – a 2024 Honda Civic!
For the third year in a row, Honda Leander hosted a car giveaway for graduating Leander ISD students. 261 LISD seniors turned in an entry form, and principals randomly selected 20 entries from each campus to be entered in the official drawing. Last year’s winner, Evan Turner, came to do the drawing.
While only one student won the grand prize, Honda also gave away a selection of other prizes, including a pair of earbuds, an air fryer, a handheld mixer, a Keurig and a panini press. Local businesses donated additional prizes including two $100 Mastercard gift cards and gift cards to Sharks Burger.
In addition to this generous donation, Honda Leander has supported LISD in a variety of ways. Starting in January, they have brought breakfast to campus staff at LISD elementary schools once a month, and are scheduled to do so through the end of the year.
