Did you know that 90% of brain development occurs before children turn 5 years old? The best way for young children to learn is through play! We want to partner with you to help create a fun and playful learning experience for your child.
This fall, free PreK will be available to all 3 and 4-year-olds in eligible families in Leander ISD. In addition, we are excited to announce that there will be a new, tuition-based PreK option for 4-year-olds for the 2021–22 school year! All families who are interested in applying for the 2021–22 Leander ISD PreK program are encouraged to register online or by calling their neighborhood elementary campus to pick up a paper packet. Campus registrars will follow up with applicants to let them know if they qualify. If a family does not qualify, tuition-based PreK will be offered.
According to Texas state law, a child must be 4 years old on or before Sept. 1 to be eligible for PreK (3 years old on or before Sept. 1 to be eligible for PreK-3).
