Every morning Parkside Elementary 4th grade teacher Carolyn Bryant walk into class with a “board talk” for the day. The board talks help student start off with a positive mindset. Readjusting for a remote learning environment, Carolyn decided she wanted to continue to incorporate them into her teaching in her Zoom meetings.

Last Friday her students had a board talk called “Finish the thought Friday”. Students had to come up with a positive word to describe what they have been seeing while we shelter in place. They wrote their words down and then everyone shared. Carolyn had the students send pictures of them holding their words. She created a video that helps celebrate what young minds are observing and learning through this health crisis. Enjoy!
