The culture experienced in every school across Leander ISD is largely a result of our Guiding Documents, which help guide our district and give us goals to achieve. One of those documents, LISD’s 10 Ethical Principals, has been instrumental in helping campuses teach and model the character traits that we work to instill in our students.

We are kicking off “LISD Super Kids” to celebrate elementary students that exemplify the 10 Ethical Principals. This week, we recognize Karter Wilde, a fifth-grade student at Rutledge Elementary. Her “superpower” is #7 – Respect for Others. Besides putting this skill to use in her daily life, she represents her school well as part of the Student Lighthouse Team, Culture of Caring club and Rutledge Choir.

“Karter is an advisory board member of our Student Lighthouse Team,” fifth-grade teacher Kathy Gehman said. “She is quick to do what is best for the school and thinks about how to bring out the best in others.”

Congratulations, Karter! Thank you for being a shining example for Rutledge as an LISD Super Kid!
