Jonah Shin, a kindergarten student at Winkley Elementary, is this week’s LISD Super Kid. His “superpower” is #9 – Pursuit of Excellence. Jonah pursues excellence by taking pride in his work every single day.
“Jonah is a SUPER-KID because he takes pride in his work, cares about others and is helpful,” kinder teacher Brandi Havers said.
Jonah shows kindness and concern for others in all of his interactions. He likes to play with blocks and read stories. He is also a talented scientist.

![In the Automotive Program of Study at Rouse High School, students study automotive basics and automotive technology, and eventually complete a practicum in transportation systems.
“If I didn’t have this program, I wouldn’t feel really prepared for my future plans – I want to be a BWM technician,” Glenn High School student Javier Peña said. “And the fact that there’s a program out there in this district that [prepares students] is just amazing.”
