LISD sent out district-wide messaging about a two-hour delay as a result of inclement weather on Tuesday, Nov. 12. Text messages/emails/phone calls were made that morning at around 4–6 a.m. In an effort to ensure that everyone is receiving these important communications, we have outlined the following steps.

If you have not done so already, visit www.leanderisd.org/schoolmessenger for information on how to create an account with SchoolMessenger to 1) check that the contact information on file is correct and 2) be able to customize your contact preferences based on the following notification categories:

  • Alerts and Emergency
  • Attendance
  • Board Briefs
  • District News
  • Food Balance
  • School News
  • Transportation

If you are signed up but didn’t receive notifications on Tuesday, please consider the following: 

  • TEXTS: To opt in to receive text messages, text “Yes” to 67587
  • EMAIL or PHONE:
    • Ensure your contact preferences are set correctly in SchoolMessenger (info on how to create an account)
    • If the listed contact information is incorrect:
      Guardians: Reach out to the campus registrar to correct the information in the student information system.
      Staff: Complete the Change of Address, Phone form listed on the district’s Staff page to update the information in the district’s employee information system.
